About Apis

Apis is a private Speech and Language Therapy practice serving clients in the comfort of their own home in the Ottawa region, or online across Ontario. 

  

At Apis, we provide Speech and Language Therapy to adults and children, as well as cognitive rehabilitation.  

 

Apis was founded in 2022 by Barbara Coelho, M.Sc. SLP. 

Barbara holds a B.A. in Linguistics and Psychology at McGill University and a Master's degree in Health Sciences from Laurentian University. She completed internships across different settings in Ontario, including the Oropharyngeal Cancer Centre (HSN) in Sudbury, in-home rehabilitation, private practices, and teletherapy.

Barbara is a member of CASLPO, OOAQ, and SAC​.

Apis' goal is to foster a sense of community among people with communication difficulties, highlighting the importance of multiculturalism.
